Frequently Asked Questions
General & Billing
Yes, we have a minimum of 5 items that can be made up of various sizes and styles.
Yes, subject to our customer supplied garment waiver, as follows:
We prefer to work on garments and items we obtain from our suppliers. We use clothing and items in our embroidery that have been tested and proven to provide quality embroidery.
Embroidery machines can be fickle and sometimes “eat” garments. A needle can break, the thread can shred or a pattern can jump. Very occasionally during the embroidery process, a garment or item will be damaged. Sometimes we may experience unexpected results sewing on untested material.
If we have supplied the garment or item, we have calculated a margin of error in the cost and will replace it.
If we agree to embroider on a customer supplied item it must be in a clean state, unworn and free from sand, grit or animal hairs and/or other impurities which might be hazardous to personnel or machinery.
We cannot replace customer supplied garments or items. If you supply the garment or item and there is a problem, we do not replace your item. The limit of our liability is the cost of the embroidery and/or printing.
Yes, we are available to prepare quotes and discuss your requirements. The Christmas holidays are important for us to take a break for rest so please bear with us.
The majority of our suppliers close down over Christmas so we are unable to commence your order until our suppliers return to work.
If you have any queries about garment sizing please contact us and we will endeavor to help you.
The Customer takes full responsibility for the sizes that are ordered. If the wrong size is ordered the order cannot be returned or exchanged if garment decoration has begun.
For embroidery we accept any of the following formats: jpeg; tif; gif; pcx; jpg; cdr; cpt; ai; eps; pdf; wmf; pct; pict or bmp. If you have a format not listed here, send it to us anyway. Our favourite format is jpg format.
For Supacolor and HTV we require vector PDF, but we can accept other files if they are prepared correctly. Common file types for vector-based graphics are .ai, .eps, and some—but not all–.pdf files.
The better the artwork then the better the final embroidery or print will be.
There are several steps to go through so that we can provide our “no surprises” service.
If we have not already received your logo and wording, we require artwork – see artwork requirements.
We send the final artwork and lettering for digitising. This converts the design into “language” that our embroidery machine can read. We will email you a PDF copy of the digitised design for your approval. Please make sure you send us a reply email to approve this.
While the logo is being digitised, we order the blank stock.
The next step is to confirm the thread colours you require. If you have Pantone colours or CMYK details for your logo, please provide these to us.
Once the design is digitised and the threads are selected, we stitch out a sample. We photograph this and send this to you for your approval. Again, please send us a reply email to approve this.
Once everything is approved, we proceed with the final embroidery.

We custom-embroider baseball caps, truckers, buckets, beanies, sun hats, wide brims, flat peaks, fitted, and sports headwear.
Embroidermark has different price points:
- standard promotional hats (a lower-cost option)
- high-quality Flexfit / Yupoong brands
Talk to us about the type of hat and style you have in mind and we will let you know if we can embroider it.
First, we take your design or logo and turn it into a ‘stitch file‘, a digitised file that our embroidery machine can read and implement.
Then, each hat is set up by hand and monitored while the machine embroiders it – meaning that every hat is personally checked to make sure the final embroidered logo is a true representation of your logo and exactly how you expected it to look.
We price our hats based on the type and style, quantity, and stitch count. Simple designs are less dense - so fewer stitches means less expensive. If we decide that another method of branding, such as Heat Transfer Vinyl or Supacolor would be better for your type of logo and budget, we will let you know your options upfront.
As a guide, a typical promotional hat will cost around $15* each and a high-end Flexfit / Yupoong would cost around $35* each.
*Depending on the stitch count, the complexity of the design, and the quantity required.
We pride ourselves on fast turnaround for all orders and will make sure we meet any deadline if you require them for an event, function, or business launch. Let us know your deadline when you order. If you order with us again it’s even faster as we will keep detailed records and all your files so there is no setup required when you reorder!
We deliver to anywhere in WA and can let you know any postage and shipping costs up-front when you request a quote - so make sure you let us know where you need them delivered to.
There are some technical limitations that need to be considered before a design can be embroidered.
Very small lettering does not work well (i.e. smaller than 6mm). The bigger the letters the better the quality.
Some other things to consider are:
- Very fine lines do not generally produce well
- A detail that is too closely packed together
- Items with several layers of outlining, ultra-thin outlining or shadows
- Colour gradients in a small area
- Thin freestanding lines on coarse material or thick material with a heavy pile
Embroidery is bound by the scale and the material on which it is being stitched. Embroidery looks best when held and viewed at arm’s length. We will always advise on what will be best for you when you enquire with us to make sure we can deliver the right result.
You can see many of the items and brands we supply here on our Suppliers page, and we can also source many other brands – just chat to us about what you are after if you need a specific clothing item/brand, and we can provide you with options.
We do the majority of all our embroidery in-house – from digitisation to production. Our attention to detail and hands-on, personal service is what sets us apart from larger companies and we guarantee a quality result every time. While we may occasionally outsource the embroidery to help us meet a specific client deadline, we only use tried and trusted embroiderers who we know are going to work to our standards. And we always personally check the end result before handover.
We specialise in embroidery, but can also use these alternative finishes depending on the logo, required look and quantity required:
- Embroidery – using top-quality threads and custom equipment for a bright, quality finish that is true to your logo design
- Heat Transfer Vinyl – Ideal for low-cost, simple and bold messaging for example “Volunteer”, “Covid Safety Marshal” or “Trainer”
- Supacolour – a digitally-printed, heat-applied transfer – a good solution if the logo is very graphic or if the logo design would require a more stitch intensive, and therefore expensive, embroidered logo.
- Supflex and Supasub are more specialised finishes - check these out here:
